"What a company"
What a company
It’s 2:12 am already the bus was supposed to departure at 1:10am
Still no bus in sight. Customers are waiting in the rain while the bus can’t be tracked,because it just disappeared. Never:::.ever again. We stuck now in the middle of the night in Nottingham. No chance to go back to London for now. I'll send you the hotel bill. Cheers.

"I had a round trip from NYC to…"
I had a round trip from NYC to Washington Dc and DC - NYC. They try their best to maintain time i will defend give credit to them. But I am really disappointed with maintaining minimum hygiene. After a trip I didn’t see anyone going in and do cleaning. The seats are terribly dirty. It is so dirty it is turning black.
Also the agents are not very helpful. At the time of return I had reservations for 7:20 for 4people. I called the customer service and the lady over the phone confirmed there is available seat so I can go the field agent and pay $5 each person to have the bus change. But when I went to the agent they didn’t even bother to look into the system not even pretend 😅, just said all tickets are sold. I am not sure who is right or wrong! So I decided not to take the risk and get in at 7:20bus.

Took my money. Didn't provide a ticket. Supposedly they will return the money in a few days. Whoopdie doo.

"Verbally abused & harassed by driver"
I wish I could give negative stars. We were verbally harassed and abused by a bus driver named Barbara Miller going from State College to NYC. I'm posting this on literally any forum I can to warn people about this horrific person & company.

I have never in my life experienced a person as hateful and berating as her. She made it her mission to project her bad attitude onto everyone on the bus by screaming demeaning comments and bullying patrons for simply trying to board the bus. It is genuinely scary that someone with her temperament is allowed to drive a bus full of people. She in no way is a qualified person to be handling people's lives.

I have rode the Megabus many, many times, I'm not new to the guidelines. She decided that she had a different set of rules and violently screamed at everyone for not following them precisely- resulting in her kicking 2 of us off the bus. We apologized for not being aware of her rules many times, still insisted we were not allowed to ride. She stalled the bus for over an hour, left patrons on the bus in the hot sun with no air, shut me in the bus door and continually refused to explain any of her decisions/actions. She refused to contact her management to back up her actions and continuously harassed us.

I'm genuinely writing this to warn people about how terrifying this was. It was honestly traumatic and I've never seen an adult conduct themselves that way. And on top of that, the company itself doesn't take any responsibility or try to protect customers. I sincerely hope you don't ever have to encounter Barbara Miller from Pittsburgh, PA as your driver!

"Avoid if you can"
Had a couple of issues during return trip. On the way to my destination, the driver was not competent enough to know what to do when the bus couldn't drop down. Which, to my surprise only required a push of the button (after half an hour of wait). The driver didn't even know that. We lost half an hour of precious time on the way to airport. So, NOT RELIABLE if you're in a hurry. When I asked the driver if the bus would be fixed, or if a replacement bus would be provided, I was told " there's a train station nearby if you're in a hurry". Lovely:)

On the way back the bus was stinking of vomit. So, they didn't even clean the bus on between the journeys. Absolutely disgusting. 3 hours of sick stench. When I emailed Megabus, they replied "the passengers are also responsible for the cleanliness". Well, ok, I'll pick up my litter but do I also have to pick up and clean after others?! Also, do you expect people to carry buckets of water and disinfectants with them in case there'll be someone sick on the bus? Things happen and people can get sick for whatever reason, the bus company has to ensure they know how to deal with situations like this.

So, it's a no for me for my future trips. I value my time and my comfort when I travel. Megabus is not good for either of those.

Apparently I paid extra to get comfort and other essentials,we got a regular bus instead and just had to sit anywhere…Why charge extra when you won’t be offering the service??First time using mega bus and I’d never ever use them again!!!!

Worst customer service and no one will be there to help. No good way to contact them in case of emergency or just in general and ultimately it will be you who will lose money.

"Rude and unkind staff at Shudehill"
Unfortunately I can’t give less than one star otherwise I would have done so. Got on the mega bus from Manchester Shudehill to Glasgow today. Mega bus needs to train the staff in Shudehill in customer service because the workers at the bus station wearing mega bus jackets who were there to assist passengers were rude to a level that can be said to be unkind. And nowadays with everyone going through one thing or another, it doesn’t hurt to be kind. All I did was ask to be directed to the right stop for glasgow because it was my first time at the station, only for the worker to repetitively tell me in a rude and sarcastic way to go to “stop G for gormless” and send me the wrong way to get there. Once I got there, the bus was not even leaving from that stop. He was unkind and rude and there was no need for his behaviour. I was the bigger person and ignored him but won’t be using the bus again. Please train your workers to be kind especially in this day and age when everyone is battling something. Thanks.

"Rude behavior of driver"
My daughter had booked the bus from Katy to Austin on 19th sept. & departure time was 4.30 PM FROM KATY stop ( Katy mills gate 8) . We reached the stop 2 minutes before departure time and bus driver had already closed doors and started the bus before departure time and did not allow to board the bus irrespective of multiple request which is really insane .when we called customer service initially they did agree that bus started 3 minutes earlier but later they changed their statement and telling us we missed the bus and telling us bus left at 4.35 PM, however we called customer service at 4.32 PM and bus tracker also show clearly bus left at 4.28 PM. This is not acceptable and bus driver has to be held accountable for the inconvenience caused to us as there were 4 more students as well. We do have a clear proof of this and still customer support supervisor not accepting the fault and lied to us irrespective of initial person whom we spoke did confirm bus actually left 3 min before departure .

it’s look like customers rubbery service.I purchased round trip their website it’s not clearly instruction.I clicked accidentally wrong pickup drop off location when I called them customer service they did not help I purchased new ticket.When I called them returning location change thay asked $20 extra too.Be careful and don’t trap your mone…

"Thieves & Fraudsters...."
I booked a trip to NYC from Albany and realized later I had to change the date. Knowing they don't refund, I went through the "exchange" process for a different date and received an email confirming the exchange transaction acknowledging a $120.00 credit . This morning they charged me twice, stating I "double booked" when I clearly cancelled and exchanged. They are stating I "might" get my $120.00 back, but because it was my fault for "double booking", probably not. I'm going through the arduous process of getting a refund throught Mastercard and my bank, who agrees with me. It was a cancellation. Never again, Megabus. Never again.

"Terrible experience!!! Will never ever book with Megabus again!!!"
Terrible experience. Bus did not show up and we were not able to contact Megabus. Had to book 2 further tickets with National Express and arrived at Heathrow over an hour late. Apparently you do not get a refund unless the bus is over 2 hours late!! If you have a plane to catch you probably wouldn’t feel ok about standing at a freezing cold bus stop for 2+ hours not knowing if your bus will ever show up!! When Megabus replied they have refused refund, their customer service is appalling, they have unfair policies, and I will never book a ticket with Megabus ever again!!

"DISASTOUS SERVICE"
I took the bus from Toronto to Montreal and it broke down in the middle of nowhere, engine off, lights out... It was on 23rd of December, when the weather was terrible. We had to wait for 2 hours for the nex bus and obviously we had no heat, and it was just freezing. At the end the new bus came and we had to carry out luggages our own in the middle of a snowstorm. On top of that, megabus never emailed me for the inconvenience, even after emailing them my complaint. It's been 2 weeks now and still no response.
The responsibility is totally theirs as there was poor maintenance in their vehicle. We were 63 people in the bus and we were sitting in the middle of the road with the danger upcoming vehicles to hit us as it was dark and we had no lights.

"Very disappointing!!"
My reservation code was: A***3JA.
Megabus cancelled my return trip from Washington to New York by the evening of 9/19/22.

Sadly, this situation forced me to purchase new return tickets to New York with the reservation code: A***EWI.

I requested compensation for the damages suffered or a refund of the return tickets. But they say No or even ignore my messages. It's a shame!!!

"Awful service. My daughter had to stand in the cold…"
My daughter had to stand in the cold for 3 hours waiting for a Megabus from Reading to Manchester. Their communications were inaccurate or non existant. They blame traffic and rail strikes but I blame them for not communicating properly so people are left literally out in the cold.
